The iris becomes a portal — the place where the inner world meets the outer one. Within it lives an entire universe: planets and moons, creatures of the sea, ancient symbols, flowers, human figures, and worlds both familiar and unknown. They represent the countless experiences contained within a single existence — beauty and grief, connection and isolation, beginnings and endings, the earthly and the infinite. At the center is darkness. Not as something to fear, but as the unknown we are continually asked to enter. We cannot see the entire path before we walk it. We cannot know why every person arrives, why something is taken from us, or where each decision will eventually lead. And still, we choose to be here. The eye is both witness and participant. It sees the universe, while simultaneously containing it — a reminder that we are not separate from the life unfolding around us. We are part of it. The soul contract is not an agreement that everything will be easy, fair, or understood. Acceptance is the willingness to live it anyway. To love knowing we may lose. To begin without knowing the ending. To enter the darkness without demanding to see what waits on the other side. Maybe accepting the soul contract is simply saying: I may not understand why I am here. But I am here. I am willing to see. I am willing to feel. I am willing to become.
